Sunnybrook Assisted Living Center, Burlington
This assisted living center is a single-story, slab on grade, wood-framed structure. It has an asphalt shingle roof and full brick veneer siding. The four-wing center includes office space, a professional kitchen, communal dining room, multiple resident lounges and 66 residence suites. Each suite varies in size from 336 sq. ft. for a studio to 736 sq. ft. for a two-bedroom unit. The suites have a kitchenette, private bathroom and individual phone and TV lines. With the exception of the studio units, all suites have separate living and sleeping rooms. One wing of the center is dedicated to Alzheimer’s/dementia care.  The wing is secure and uses high-tech radio IDs for each resident. This project also included a beautiful waterfall for residents and guests to enjoy. Merit has completed Sunnybrook projects in Fort Madison, Muscatine and Tipton as well.
